Market Type
In Florida, cannabis is regulated by the Office of Medical Marijuana Use (OMMU). Only medical cannabis is allowed.
Tracking and Inventory
Florida’s state seed-to-sale tracking system is the Department STS Tracking System, for which BioTrack is the vendor. The Medical Marijuana Use Registry (MMUR) is a separate patient registry used to record patient certifications and dispensing actions.
Purchase Limits
Medical
- Purchase limits are set by prescription, with route-specific supply limits (a 35-day supply of inhalable flower and a 70-day supply of other forms).
- Maximum Possession Limit is 4 Oz.
Taxes
Adult-use
No cannabis specific taxes.
Delivery
Delivery may only be conducted for patients and caregivers. There is no delivery ruleset specifically, but it is permitted by statute.
