Check the hash hole for proper alignment of the hash stick inside and quality of the roll. The hash stick should be aligned with the ends. Check to ensure the hash hole is tapped down at the tip. If not, you will want to do this so that the cannabis around the hash stick is compact to allow an even burn.

Creating the Even Burn:

Examine the hash hole to make sure the hash stick is not protruding from the end. Do this by rotating the has hole in your fingers before lighting. If there is protrusion the hash stick can be gently pushed back in using the tip of a match stick or similar tool.
