THC is the primary cannabinoid responsible for the psychoactive effects associated with cannabis. The amount of THC in a product can vary widely based on the method of consumption and the strain at the source of that product. The high that is produced is often enhanced by the “entourage effect” which is a combination of multiple cannabinoids in conjunction with various terpenes and individual body chemistry.
Wax is one of our favorite cured concentrates to make. It is a drier, sometimes chalky product commonly referred to as crumble due to its texture. The process for Wax begins very similar to that of Shatter. Very thin layers of oil are poured onto parchment paper. The process differs when the oil is removed from the oven, and we begin to ‘taffy’ the product. In this process we are stretching and manipulating the oil very similar to how taffy is produced. This process causes a transformation in the oil over time due to what is called "nucleation' and the product known as wax begins to take form.
