Rather than a standard 510 thread, the battery uses a closed-loop magnetic connection built specifically for AiroPod cartridges, though a magnetic ring adapter is available separately for anyone wanting to run standard 510-thread attachments instead. Charging happens through a USB port at the base, with overcharge protection built in and a halo light that glows red while charging and switches to solid green once the battery is full. Detach the pod first before plugging it in to charge. Held in the hand, the whole unit feels compact and steady, easy to keep track of without adding real bulk to a pocket.
